Illinois Hearing on HB2718

The Illinois House Elections and Ethics Committee held a hearing on Wednesday, September 24th on House Bill 2718, proposed by state Rep. Maurice West. The legislation would treat voting like jury duty, a civic responsibility required of every citizen, by requiring all eligible citizens to cast a ballot in every general election.
